HiPath BizIP connection of standard SIP devices

The following devices have been tested with HiPath BizIP.
Starting with V1R4, standard SIP devices can be connected to HiPath BizIP to cover additional user scenarios. The core devices are still the BizIP 410 phones with full feature set. Voice mail with message waiting, DSS keys, central phone book and CTI are not available with standard SIP devices.
For every two BizIP 410 it is possible to connect one standard SIP device. Please find configuration and user hints below.

optiPoint 150 S

Installation hints
- Connect optiPoint 150 S to the LAN and find out its IP address by pressing the menu key and scrolling to 6.Status.
- Enter this IP Address in your PC Browser and logon as administrator (admin, 123456 as default).
- Select SIP Setup, SIP Settings and enter the following data:
- "Registrar IP address or DNS name" = <AD 20 IP>, "Port" = 5060
- "Server IP address or DNS name" = <AD 20 IP>, "Port" = 5060
- "SIP Server Typ" = H8000
- "Phone number" = <unused internal number>
- "Registrar IP address or DNS name" = <AD 20 IP>, "Port" = 5060
- For calling to BizIP 410 mailboxes and the group-mailbox by dialling 99, codec G.729 and DTMF-Mode RFC2833 have to be configured:
- Select Phone SetupCodec > change field "G.72x Select" from "None" to "G.729AB"
- Select Phone Setup DTMF > Change field "Out Band DTMF" from "None" to "RFC2833"
- Select Phone SetupCodec > change field "G.72x Select" from "None" to "G.729AB"
- For display of time and date at optiPoint 150 S
- Select User Localization
- Set Time Server to "on"
- Enter Time Server Address e.g. 192.53.103.103
- select daylight saving and display format
- For using optiPoint 150 S as teleworking device select authentication, user and password for external subscriber within HiPath BizIP web-based management
- Set SIP user ID and SIP Password in optiPoint 150 S to the values defined within HiPath BizIP
- Set STUN Server according your provider e.g. stun.sipgate.net:10000
After reboot the optiPoint 150 S will register at BizIP AD 20 as new subscriber.
Restrictions
- The HiPath BizIP feature "deflect call" is not supported by optiPoint 150 S.
- The optiPoint 150 S feature COLP is not supported together with HiPath BizIP.
- optiPoint 150 S plays no music on hold when in hold state.

TC 300 does not support codec G.729: Calls to the group-mailbox (magic mailbox) by dialling 99 are not possible.
Unsatisfying battery stand-by performance.
TC 300/T-Com and Toplink (DDI account): Incoming SIP call accepted by TC 300 has one-sided payload. External party does not hear TC 300. Problem does not occur with outgoing calls or Pirelli software.
X-Lite Softclient

Important codec issue
X-Lite codec changes (X-Lite problem) during connections have to be prevented with the following workaround:

This will bring up the advanced settings menu.
Filter for "honor"
Double click on the entry and change the value to 1
Save and restart
Restrictions
Transfer call: not supported by X-lite 3.0
Deflect call: not supported by X-lite 3.0
Music on Hold: not supported by X-lite 3.0 - only display message
No HiPath BizIP voice mail reachable from X-lite, due to missing G.729 support
Call transfer and G.729 are available with the commercial version eyeBeam 1.5 basic from CounterPath.

Change Euroset 815 flash time for FLASH KEY
1. Lift handset and press "Speichern" then "#" and enter a digit: 2 = 90ms (def.), 5 = 120ms, 6 = 180ms, 7 = 300ms, 8 = 600ms
2. Press "Speichern" again and hang up.
Change Euroset 2020 flash time for FLASH KEY
1. Lift handset and press "Speichertaste" then "195" and enter a digit: 0 = 90ms (def.), 1 = 120ms, 2 = 270ms, 3 = 375ms, 4 = 600ms
2. Press "Speichertaste" again and hang up.
TA FAX via T.38 protocol
Tested SIP providers: Toplink (DDI account) and Freenet (single account)
AD 20 WBM, Conn.Settings/Telephony/VoipCallMgmt, "Endpoint-Type" = SIP-FAX
HT286/386 WBM, FXS PORT, "FAX Mode" = T.38 (Auto Detect)
FAX tests via SIP/T.38 have been done using HP OfficeJet Modell 635 and Brother FAX-2920
Restrictions
T.38 protocol support is SIP provider dependent.
G.711 FAX is not 100% reliable due to uncertain data transmission (no retransmission).
Grandstream HandyTone-502

FAX tests via SIP/T.38 have been done using Canon FAX-B155
Restrictions
T.38 protocol support is SIP provider dependent.
G.711 FAX is not 100% reliable due to uncertain data transmission (no retransmission).
Gigaset S450 IP as SIP-Teleworker
Software versions
Tested S450 IP software version: 020970000000 / 041.00
Installation hints
AD20 is connected to Office LAN. S450 IP is connected to Teleworker LAN.
- Set AD 20 Conn.Settings/Telephony/VoipCallMgmt, "Endpoint-Type" = External Subscriber and select SIP number
- Set Authentication=YES and set up User/Password
- Connect S450 IP to Teleworker-LAN, enter IP Address in your PC Browser and logon via System-PIN (0000 as default)
- Select Einstellungen, Telefonie, Verbindungen
- Set 1. VoIP-Verbindung = Aktiv, and Gigaset.net = Deaktiviert
- Select 1. VoIP-Verbindung Bearbeiten and enter the following data:
- "Verbindungsname oder Rufnummer:" = <external subscriber number>
- "Anmelde-Name:" = <AD20 user name>
- "Anmelde-Passwort:" = <AD20 user password>
- "Benutzer-Name:" = <AD20 external subscriber number>
- "Angezeigter Name:" = <AD20 external subscriber number>
- Press "Weitere Einstellungen anzeigen" and enter the following data:
- "Domäne:" = <AD20 dynDNS ip>
- "Proxy-Server-Adresse:" = <AD20 dynDNS ip>
- "Server-Port:" = 5060
- "Registrar-Server:" = <AD20 dynDNS ip>
- "Registrar-Server-Port:" = 5060
- "Anmelde-Refreshzeit:" = 180
- "Netztwerk/STUN benutzen" = Ja
- "STUN-Server:" = <STUN server ip> e.g. stun.1und1.de
- "STUN-Port:" = 3478
S450 IP will now register as Teleworker to BizIP AD 20.
Restrictions
Teleworker call features are limited to Hold and Retrieve. Features Join, Deflect, Transfer or Conference are not supported for Teleworkers at present. Limitation is valid for all Teleworker standard SIP devices.
