The optiPoint WL2 professional S utilizes industry-standard Wireless LAN (WLAN) technology to enable mobile communication in office and industry environments. By leveraging the same WLAN environments that are used for corporate data applications, optiPoint WL2 professional S enables companies to save on infrastructure costs, and benefit from converged voice and data applications. The optiPoint WL2 professonal S is superior price-for-performance VoWLAN SIP phone, interoperable with many standards compliant Wireless LAN infrastructure products for seamless wireless connectivity and mobility.

The optiPoint WL2 professional family also contains of the optiPoint WL2 professional, a HFA (CorNet IP) feature set based phone.

The optiPoint WL2 professional S is released on the OpenScape Voice. Releases on other platforms may follow in the future.

The phone software can be downloaded to the phone:

  • via FTP (controlled by WBM)
  • via HTTP (controlled by WBM)
  • via latest version of HiPath DLS (DepLoyment Service) application

The current software release is V1.0 R0.79.0 (70.000.79).
